TAKE 3 with Linda Rudolph-McAlpine
Linda Rudolph-McAlpine
Senior Program Associate

Linda Rudolph

What is an interesting fact about yourself?

On weekends, I am a farm girl. I ride horses, feed cows and horses, and take care of five outside dogs. Not to mention driving our Kubota tractor to deliver hay to the cows. All while taking our Miniature Schnauzer, Sam, along for the ride.

What part of AUM do you enjoy the most?

I enjoy the students the most. Connecting with students, mainly the freshmen, has always been a pleasure to me. There are some who are away from home for the first time. They are not just physically sick; they are homesick and overwhelmed. Just having someone to talk to and making them feel like this is a home away from home. Also, telling them everyone here is just another family and assuring them that everything is going to be okay.

If you could do anything in the world, what would you do?

If I could do anything in the world, I would volunteer in an elderly facility. I like being around the elderly and listen to their wisdom and life stories. I would like to think I could make a difference in some of their lives by being in their presence. My face may be the only face some may see during the week.
