The Roost, home of campus dining at AUM, is back and better than ever, just in time for fall. You spoke, and The Roost listened. Among the many new offerings – combos!
“The students, faculty and staff at AUM have expressed some great ideas, and we’ve taken their suggestions to heart,” said Kareta Purnell, Chartwells’ Director of Retail Operations for AUM’s dining services (Chartwells
is AUM’s food service provider). “We want to provide the best in healthy, balanced meals, served in a campus community environment that encourages social engagement and makes everyone want to come back for more.”
This semester The Roost introduces the $5 Daily Combo Meal. A different combo will be offered each day, and will include a sandwich, soup or pizza, chips or fries on the sandwich days, and a 16-ounce fountain drink. Also new is the nightly dinner bar that will allow patrons to choose their own toppings for a different feature item each night – nachos, French fries, tacos, or baked potatoes.
Chef Donald Riggs is the new Executive chef for The Roost, and he has plenty in store to pique your palette’s interest, including hand-breaded chicken tenders, an expanded salad bar, and sushi, built the way you like it. The Roost’s catering service features an all-new menu and an online ordering system. Also planned for fall are a couple of all-you-can-eat dates, and food trucks that will park daily near the Athletic Complex for on-the-go convenience.
In addition, salads and sandwiches, including new Panini offerings, will continue to be available at The AUMazing Bean.
