Admitted Student Checklist

  • Set up MY AUM account: You will use this portal to access vital resources around campus, check grades, register for classes, and much more.
  • Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): Around 40 percent of AUM students receive some form of federal student aid. If you would like to be considered for federal financial aid programs, please complete the FAFSA. Be sure to include AUM's  Federal School Code (008310) on your FAFSA application to avoid delays in the processing of your aid. AUM has a priority deadline of March 1 each year.
  • Housing: Thinking about living on campus? AUM Housing and Residence Life offers students benefits such as being close to classes and activities, living and learning with friends, making better grades and getting involved in a community. Ready to register for your place on campus? We invite you to explore what each of our housing locations has to offer, see where they're located, and compare our room rates.
  • Scholarships: Have you claimed your scholarship? We offer a variety of scholarship opportunities for qualified first-time incoming freshmen, community college transfer students, ROTC students and currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Kickoff to College: Come celebrate your start at AUM with a tailgate on The Quad. Meet your future classmates, Greeks and other organizations, enjoy delicious food, and register on the spot for the orientation date of your choice!
  • Schedule a Visit: The best way to experience our vibrant, scenic university is to take a one-on-one cruise through campus with one of our Warhawk Recruiters, each of whom are Auburn University at Montgomery students.
  • Student Involvement and Leadership Programs: Our programs will help you meet your future classmates, get to know AUM's academic staff and support staff, check out housing accommodations, learn about Greek life and student organizations and get a bird's eye view of life as a Warhawk.
  • Orientation: Looking for a proper introduction to the Auburn University at Montgomery community? The Office of Orientation and Transitions is here to help you get to know the programs and resources that will position you for academic success and involvement in a diverse and vibrant campus community. We'll equip you with the tools you need to succeed at AUM.
  • Send final transcripts: To enroll at AUM you MUST send your final official transcripts to Auburn University at Montgomery.

  • Make a Financial Success Appointment: Visit with an AUM student financial counselor if you have financial questions or concerns.
  • Move in and Welcome Days: Welcome, new Warhawks! We are beyond excited to have you and are on hand to help with absolutely anything you need! Move in dates can be found on the Academic Calendar!
  • First Day of Class! Check the Academic Calendar for your first day by semester, full and half terms!
