Gifts in Kind
Offers from a donor to provide a gift of property, i.e., securities, real estate, art objects, or books, are reviewed with special care. Consideration is given to the usefulness of such gifts and whether the gift can be sold or otherwise converted to cash.
In cases where the gift is to be retained and maintained, consideration is given to the cost of delivering, maintaining, cataloging, insuring and displaying such items as well as space requirements for exhibition or storage.
In cases or situations where such gifts are offered, the Office of Advancement and Alumni Services provides advice and assistance.
All gifts must be accompanied by a
Gift in Kind form
filled out by the donor.
