Writing-Intensive Faculty Development Institute (WFDI)

WFDI sessions are generally held in the Center for Excellence in Learning & Teaching conference room, Library Tower 800.

Please contact the WAC Program Manager, Dana Bice, if you are interested in registering for the Writing-Intensive Faculty Development Institute, and teaching Writing-Intensive (WI) courses.

  • Session II: Instructional Strategies: Creating Formal and Informal Writing Assignments
  • Session III: Tips for Assessing Writing while Controlling Workload
  • Session IV: Support for the Struggling Writers: Using MyCompLab, Peer Review, and the Learning Center

 

Fall 2016

WAC Certification Part I
Session I: Friday, September 2, 9:30 a.m.–Noon.
Session II: Friday, September 9, 9:00 a.m.–Noon.
Session III: Friday, October 7, 9:00 a.m.–Noon.
Session IV: Friday, October 14, 9:00 a.m.–Noon.
The next six sessions of the WFDI, Part II, will occur during the first semester of writing-intensive instruction.
