2012 AUM Technology Fair | The Center for Advanced Technologies (CAT) teamed with the School of Business to host AUM’s first Technology Fair on Sept. 10 in the Taylor Center. CAT recruited sponsors for the event, including AT&T, Alabama Interactive and CACI International Inc. "It is our hope the Technology Fair will become an annual event which fosters a stronger relationship among the IT community, IT providers, AUM Business students and faculty," said Megan Hughes, Divisional Coordinator for Events and Promotions in Outreach. The Technology Fair provided attendees the opportunity to hear from major IT companies regarding topics such as mobile apps, cloud computing, business intelligence and Web development. Students and local business partners alike had the opportunity to visit with IT professionals and potential employers from the IT community. Following the Technology Fair, students were able to stay and participate in the School of Business’ annual Meet the Firms project. Students from the IT club played a major role in conference logistics and event-day execution. Reporting by Frank Miles |
