Auburn Montgomery's Master of Justice and Public Safety offer you three distinct specialization options: Homeland Security, Criminal Justice and Judicial Administration.
Homeland Security Option
One of the fastest growing career areas, homeland security has implications for government workers, military officials, private security, law enforcement and others. This options prepares individuals from all those fields to be ready when the next crisis strikes.

Criminal Justice Option
The Criminal Justice Option provides an overview of the criminal justice system as well as a deeper understanding of this career field. You will gain planning and management skills plus student ethical issues that can arise in law enforcement, security, corrections and juvenile justice.
You also choose the location and program length that works best for you:
Choose the accelerated online option, which takes only 12 months;
Study at Huntsville's Redstone Arsenal on the weekends, which takes 24 months; or
Take traditional classes on the AUM campus for 24 months.
Regardless of the location you choose, you get the same, high quality education that covers the same course material.
Judicial Administration Option
Approved by the American Bar Association, the Judicial Administration option prepares extremely competent, well-rounded individuals with advanced preparation for careers as:

Regardless of the option you choose, you will need to meet these admission requirements for the master's in Justice and Public Safety:
Hold an earned a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from an accredited university.
Take the Graduate Record Examination or the Miller Analogies Test. (If your undergraduate GPA is 2.75 or lower, the MAT or GRE must be taken prior to JPS Screening Committee consideration.

You may enter the program at any time, take the classes offered that semester and finish in approximately two years, upon completion of 30 hours.
