Family Campaign 2010

AUM Family Campaign breaks participation record
The 2010 Auburn University at Montgomery Family Campaign officially came to a close on Friday, May 28, with a final participation rate of 85 percent, breaking last year’s record of 81 percent.
“We are very excited with the record-breaking participation rate we achieved this year,” said Carolyn C. Golden, AUM’s vice chancellor for Advancement. “I’d like to thank our co-chairs this year --- Elizabeth Woodworth, Jeff Bates and LaKendra Goodwin --- and the team captains for the great job they did.”
“I’d like to thank all of those who participated in this year’s campaign, whether you gave $1 or $1,000,” said Chancellor John Veres. “It’s all about participation. This great participation rate is helpful with potential donors in that we can demonstrate to them how much the faculty and staff believe in what we do here. That is a great thing to be able to share.”
As was the case last year, several campus units had participation rates of 100 percent. The 27 units that reached 100 percent participation in 2010 included:
- Academic Affairs
- Admissions and Records
- Advancement
- Alabama Training Institute
- Army ROTC
- Bookstore
- Cafeteria
- Career Development Center
- Center for Advanced Technology
- Center for Business and Economic Development

- Early Childhood Center
- Financial Affairs

Campus Police had the largest percentage increase of any unit over last year, boosting its participation rate from 14 percent to 86 percent.
Built this year around a “Wheel of Fortune” theme, the Family Campaign annually offers Auburn Montgomery faculty and staff the opportunity to give back to the university. Those who participate in the campaign may designate their gift to go for whatever purpose they choose.
