Committed to improving the health of the Nation's underserved communities and vulnerable populations by assuring access to comprehensive, culturally competent, quality primary health care services. CFDA 93.224. $5,400,000 for 36 awards.

The purpose of this grants program is to develop an understanding of the risks and conditions that are associated with occupational diseases and injuries, to explore methods for reducing risks and for preventing or minimizing exposure to hazardous conditions in the workplace, and to translate significant scientific findings into prevention practices and products that will effectively reduce work-related illnesses and injuries.

Nonprofits are that are dedicated to helping disadvantaged children and low-income families through early childhood care and other essential programs. First priority is given to experienced, community-based programs serving children in low-income areas, where many families struggle to find affordable, high-quality early education and care. www.forallkids.org

Encourage and support efforts that offer learning and economic growth opportunities for the motivated poor including education and basic health needs.

Youth Advisory Board grants funds for student-led service learning projects in the US and Canada. Grants address, in a structural way, the issues of environmental responsibility, safety, financial education, and accessing higher education/closing the achievement gap. $25,000 to $100,000. www.statefarmyab.com

Grants support the analysis of previously collected data on the use, and prevention of misuse, of alcoholic beverages. Requests may be submitted to analyze national or regional data sets. If made available by the individual investigator. Up to two yr grants.

National Endowment for the Humanities (We the People Challenge Grants)

For long term improvements in support of humanities. May enhance endowments or support ongoing activities, or one time capital expenditures (construction, renovation, equipment) that bring long-term benefits to the institution and to the humanities more broadly.

Projects that study the impact of digital technology on the humanities – plans to strengthen technological infrastructure of humanities institutions, and enhancing the ability to make use of new technologies.
