Economics
Auburn Montgomery’s Business Economics program gives you the analytical tools and practical skills to succeed in business, finance and government by offering a mix of theoretical and applied courses in economics and the functional areas of business decision making. Courses in macroeconomic and microeconomic analysis introduce the analytical tools that significantly augment the program.
In this program you have two options with related but unique curricula: the Business Economics option and the International Business Studies option.
The Business Economics option includes seven separate tracks:
- Banking and Financial Markets
- Public Administration
- Business Management
- Pre-law
- International Economics
- Professional
- Macroeconomics
Each track includes recommended courses in economics, business or other courses outside the School of Business. The purpose of these tracks is to broaden students’ academic preparation and encourage them to make preliminary career choices.
The program also prepares students for graduate and professional schools in Business (the M.B.A), Law, Economics, International Studies and related fields.
