Campus Based Scholarships
Veterans and eligible students enrolled in ROTC may compete for an on-campus scholarship. This may be a two or three-year on-campus scholarship or the student can participate in the Simultaneous Membership Program (SMP) in which the student becomes a member of the Army Reserve or National Guard, but is placed in non-deployable status while in school. Students may use Tuition Assistance (TA), the Mongomery G.I. Bill, SMP bonuses, and a stipend from the Army if they contract with the Army ROTC to pay for school. In addition, Guard members may use the Alabama National Guard Educational Assistance Program (ANGEAP) for tuition, mandatory fees, books, and supplies.
The Army ROTC scholarship program provides financial assistance for the education and training of highly qualified and motivated young men and women who desire to be commissioned as officers in the Army after graduation from college.
