Stine to join AUM as School of Sciences Dean
Dr. Karen Stine will officially join the Auburn Montgomery family Aug. 5, as dean of the School of Sciences.
“I'm thrilled to be joining AUM and look forward to working with everyone in the School of Sciences as well as the rest of the University to meet the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead,” said Stine.
Stine is currently chair and professor of Biology and Toxicology and director of the Toxicology Program at Ashland University in Ohio. She holds a bachelor’s degree in physics and biology from the College of William and Mary in Virginia, a master’s degree in environmental sciences from the University of Virginia, and a doctoral degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Stine said she’s impressed with the quality of the existing programs in the School of Sciences at AUM and is excited about the potential for interdisciplinary collaborations offered by the range of disciplines housed within Auburn Montgomery.
