Mr. Harry M. Abrams, President – Term - 2009-2011
Harry graduated from AUM in 2004 with an MBA. He is a Data Solutions Specialist with Verizon. He is married to Rebecca and they have two sons, Harrison and Heath. Harry has been very active with all AUM alumni events since assuming the presidency in April 2009.
Mr. Paul Hodges, Vice President – Term - 2009-2011
Paul graduated from AUM in 1985 with a B.S. in Business Administration with a marketing concentration. He serves as the broker, manager and developer of the commercial and residential divisions of Hodges Real Estate and Warehouse. Hodges Real Estate and Warehouse is a family owned business that dates back to the early 20th century. Paul is married to Karla and they enjoy attending AUM alumni events.
Ms. Electra Henry, Secretary - Term – 2009-2011
Electra is a two time AUM graduate. She received her B.S. in International Business in 2003 and an MBA in 2005. While a student at AUM, Electra was a member of the AUM Women’s Tennis Team. She currently is the President of Peppertown USA. Her company sells hydrotherapy floatation devises and various other equipment to rehab facilities and other businesses all over the country. Electra is a very active member of the Alumni Board.
Mrs. Annamarie Jones, Treasurer – Term – 2009-2011
Annamarie graduated from AUM in 1994 with a B.S. in Business Administration. Annamarie is a CPA and a principal in the Montgomery office of Jackson Thornton. She has been with Jackson Thornton since February 1994 and specializes in taxation, compilation and review services of individuals and closely-held businesses. She is currently serving on the Advisory Board of the Family Sunshine Center and is a member of the United Way Community Council. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants and is a past president of the American Society of Women Accountants, Montgomery Chapter. Annamarie is married to Gary and they enjoy attending AUM alumni events together.
Kathleen Rasmussen, Immediate Past President – Term – 2009-2011
Kathleen holds 4 degrees from AUM. She received a B.S. in JPS in 1985, an MPA in 1986, an M.S. in JPS in 1988, and an M.S. in Political Science in 1998. Kathleen is currently employed as a State Juvenile Justice Specialist with the Law Enforcement & Traffic Safety Division of the Alabama Department of Economic & Community Affairs. Kathleen has served on the AUM Alumni Association Board of Directors in one capacity or another for over 10 years. She and her life companion, Don Reid, have attended numerous alumni events over the years.
Hollis Casey, Director – Term - 2009-2011
Hollis graduated from AUM in 1986 with a B.S. in Sociology and a minor is Business Administration. Hollis has owned her own business, Office Pro Inc., since 1998. She is married to Anthony and they enjoy supporting and attending AUM alumni events.
Mr. James (Ty) Fondren, Director – Term – 2010-2012
Ty graduated from AUM in 1987 with a B.A. in Communication and is currently employed by AT&T as a Regional Manager. He is married to Tina.
Clay Harrison, Director – Term – 2008-2010
Clay graduated from AUM in 1991 with a B.S. in Business Administration. He entered the healthcare arena in 1993 by working as an Account Executive for Complete Health (now part of United Health Care), a Health Maintenance Organization. He began his tenure at VIVA Health (part of the UAB Health System) in November 1998 and was promoted to Small Business Sales Manager one year later. In September 2005 he was promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing, which added the sales and marketing responsibilities for all commercial health accounts throughout the state of Alabama, including over 225 companies and 52,000 members. He is a long term member of both the Alabama and National Association of Health Underwriters, an organization of over 20,000 insurance professionals, and has served at the local board level. Clay is married to Joanna and they have two young children. They attend AUM alumni events whenever possible.
Ramona (Mona) Hurston, Director – Term – 2010-2012
Mona graduated from AUM in 2004 with an EDS degree and will graduate in 2010 from Auburn University with her PhD. Mona just accepted a new position with AUM as Director of the Alabama Positive Behavior Support Center. This past June, Mona was married to Wade Hurston and they both enjoy attending and supporting AUM alumni activities.
Danielle Ward Mason, Director – Term – 2010-2012
Danielle graduated from AUM in 1999 with a B.S. in Economics and in 2001 with an MBA. She is employed as an attorney with Beasley, Allen, Crow, Methvin, Portis & Miles, P.C. Attorneys at Law. She is married to Dwan.
Marilyn Ray, Director – Term – 2008-2010
Marilyn graduated in 1991 with a B.S. in Business Administration and in 1995 with an MBA. She is currently the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations for Auburn University. She is married to Jim and they have two children and four grandchildren. Both children and each of their spouses either graduated from AUM or attended but received a degree elsewhere.
DeAnn Weston, Director – Term – 2009-2011
DeeAnn earned her MBA from AUM in 2001 and also completed the Grant Writing Certification course offered through Continuing Education. Currently she is the Vice President of Business Development at Delta Printing & Sign Co, where she also worked as Account Manager while attending AUM. Prior to returning to Delta Printing in 2006, she was the Marketing Director for the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders and Exhibitors Association in Lewisburg, TN, and the Program Services Manager for the Montgomery Zoo.
Ms. Jennifer M. Taylor, Staff Council Appointee – Term – 2010-2011
Jennifer graduated from AUM in 2004 with a B.S. Psychology and is employed by AUM’s School of Business as a Program Manager. She is married to Michael.
Mr. Thomas (Tommy) Johnson, Chancellor’s Appointee – Term – 2010-2011
Tommy graduated from AUM in 1987 with a B.S. in General Business and is currently CEO of JRC Advisors, Inc. He is married to Diane.
