The Auburn University at Montgomery women's basketball program has been around since 1986 and during that span of 22 seasons the Lady Senators have qualified for 17 NAIA National Tournaments. In fact, the Lady Senators tied the longest streak for consecutive NAIA National Tournament appearances with 14 from 1991 to 2004. The streak is tied with Central State (Ohio) University which has since moved to NCAA Division II.
The Lady Senators have finished as high as National Runner-Up, as well as finishing in the Final Four and four Elite Eight finishes. Auburn University at Montgomery has been ranked as high as number one in the NAIA poll, and seeded as high as second in the NAIA National Tournament.
