Auburn Montgomery: More than $20 million in financial aid
Today’s economic crisis doesn’t have to cost you your college education.
This year alone, Auburn University at Montgomery offered students more than $4 million in Pell Grants and another $20 million in student loans. Couple that with challenging classes and small class sizes and Auburn Montgomery can provide you with an excellent education at a price you can afford.
Why choose Auburn Montgomery?
A student-to-faculty ratio of 15:1. At Auburn Montgomery you won’t spend your freshman year in classes filled with 300 of your peers. Our classes are deliberately kept small (an average of 20 students), giving you more personal attention and allowing your professors to get to know you.
A freshman forum that helps you succeed from the start. This year, Auburn Montgomery will accept up to 48 students in its Learning Comes First Freshman Forum. These students will each receive a laptop to use for the year, live together in campus housing, receive free tutoring when they need it and take up to three classes together. The forum helps participants build a strong foundation academically and socially right from the start.
Four-day weeks. At Auburn Montgomery, many students take classes just four days a week – Monday through Thursday – making it easier for them to work, get home on the weekends or even travel. But students also find AUM can accommodate just about any schedule since classes are offered days, nights, weekends and online. We even offer a growing number of mini-term classes, allowing students to progress more rapidly.
Big campus benefits with a small campus feel. With programs of study in more than 90 areas, Auburn Montgomery’s courses run the gamut from accounting to sociology. We have sororities and fraternities for those who want to go Greek and numerous active clubs and organizations. Plus, your destination is never more than a five-minute walk on campus.
Cutting-edge programs. Auburn Montgomery’s Storage Area Network Center of Excellence teaches information technology students to manage networks that store vast quantities of digital data. One of only six such centers in the country, it has been extremely successful in placing graduates in rewarding high-tech jobs with companies like Unisys.
Athletic excellence. Senators athletic teams have a championship reputation in NAIA Division I and Southern States Athletic Conference sports. Our Women’s Tennis team is the reigning national champions. Our tennis, soccer, baseball and softball teams are standouts too.
Recognized excellence. Auburn Montgomery is the consistent top choice of readers of the Montgomery Advertiser, who have named AUM the best local college for the last four years. Our School of Business ranks among the top 15 percent in the world and is ranked a “Best Business School” by The Princeton Review.
