The AUM Anglers have become a force to be reckoned with in the world of collegiate bass fishing. The team is ranked seventh in the nation in the latest
Collegiate Bass Fishing Standings. While the team has enjoyed some success in the past few years, this is the first time they have been ranked in the top ten. Last May, duo Corey Pierce and Jacob Nummy finished third in a field of 181 teams at the national BoatU.S. Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship.
"It is an absolute honor to be ranked seventh in the nation," said team captain Jacob Nummy. "Through hard work, the good Lord, and support from AUM and our sponsors, we have been able to come a very long way since our founding in the spring of 2009. We feel very blessed to have this spot, but we will not be satisfied until the AUM Anglers become the number one collegiate fishing team in the nation."
Bassmaster.com also recently featured AUM Angler Thomas Frink in a
video, discussing his tournament-winning strategies.
The AUM Anglers are:
