Several new sculptures are popping up on campus, continuing the trend to enhance the appearance of campus while giving observers something to think about and talk about. New pieces by Prattville artist Charlie Lucas and sculptor Larry Godwin of Brundidge, Ala., have been installed near the Athletic Complex.
Later this year, several more works will be on display. The artists will also visit campus and lecture on their work. To learn more about each sculpture and artist, visit www.aum.edu/outdoor-sculpture. AUM welcomes members of the public and school groups to come and see the outdoor artwork on campus.
These installations have been made possible by the generous support of Auburn Montgomery Outreach, the Alabama State Council on the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Other sponsors include the Auburn Montgomery Department of Fine Arts, School of Liberal Arts, and the AUM Lecture Series.
