The month of October has been a busy one for students involved with the Circle K International club at AUM. These students are striving to make a difference by volunteering for various fundraisers and events.
"Circle K International at Auburn Montgomery is devoted to serving the campus and the surrounding community," said Karlton Jenkins, president of the organization.
Since the beginning of the fall semester, members of Circle K have taken part in several service projects, including volunteering with the Jean Dean RIF Warehouse in Enterprise, Ala., participating in the Alzheimer’s Walk in Dothan, Ala., and Trick or Treat for UNICEF. The club most recently partnered with the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery to help collect tickets at the Alabama National Fair.
Upcoming plans include participating in the March of Dimes charity walk and assisting Auburn Montgomery’s Nonprofit Leadership Alliance with their holiday events in December and April to benefit less fortunate children.
Sponsored by Kiwanis International, Circle K International is a leading collegiate community service organization that works to promote leadership development and fellowship among members as they plan and implement service projects.
Circle K is looking for new members. For more information, contact Jenkins at kjenkin4@aum.edu.
