| Dr. Okeke is a Professor in the Department of Biology. His research
interests include: biofuel, biosensors, bioremediation, effects of
pollutants on microbial
communities, indicators of microbiological safety of water and food,
microbial enzymes and genetic engineering. He teaches industrial
microbiology, environmental microbiology, general microbiology and
principles of biology. Dr. Okeke did postdoctoral work
at the University of California, Riverside: June 2000 to August 2005,
Gifu University, Japan: October 1998 to June 2000, and International
Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Trieste, Italy: April
1996 to October 1998. |
