| Paul F. Hard is an assistant professor of Counselor Education. His concentrations are in community, marriage and family counseling. He comes to the School of Education with more than 13 years of agency counseling and private practice. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Certified Counselor Supervisor. His research interests have been in the areas of counselor/professional impairment and wellness, complicated grieving in pre- and post-natal loss, professional credentialing and advocacy, Sexual Minorities, Disaster Recovery, and ministerial termination. Hard also holds advanced degrees in theology and has 25 years of ecclesiastical experience. He is Treasurer of the American Association of State Counseling Boards (AASCB), former member of the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling (ABEC), a Past-Chair of the American Counseling Association’s (ACA) Southern Region, a Past-President of the Alabama Counseling Association (ALCA), a recipient of the ALCA Distinguished Professional Service Award, ACA Large Branch Award for Best Membership Service, and twice awarded the ALCA President’s Award. |
