Dr. Tom Lucy-Bouler has been teaching on the college level since 1986. He came to AUM in 1990 and was promoted to associate professor in 1996. He has researched in the areas of artificial intelligence, Internet development, healthcare MIS as well as teaching and future trends in IS. He is author or co-author of several publications in each area. He was one of the founders of AUM's Faculty Development Institute and has served on several university and community committees on technology. He has been the Fair Director for the ACTE South Central Region and State Technology Fair. The state fair usually has over 800 students in grades 3rd to 12th grade from over 90 schools from around the state.

While serving as faculty, Dr. Lucy-Bouler has developed new courses for the Information Systems major such as the latest course Mobile Application Development for iPhone app development. For the year 2012, Dr. Lucy-Bouler was awarded the School of Business Excellence in Teaching Award.
