The Clifford J. and Virginia Foster Durr Lecture series is proud to present nationally recognized speakers on the constitutional protection of civil liberties, especially those enunciated in the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Our speakers have addressed the legal, cultural, and historical aspects of civil liberties in American society. We have examined topics ranging from the struggle for civil-rights in the South to the protection of personal identity in the information age. Now in the lecture's 14thyear, our purpose continues to be enhancing the learning atmosphere for students, faculty and the community at large, helping to fulfill the mission of AUM.
