Crime & Emergency Reporting Procedures
The Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) Police Department is located in the Taylor Center, Room 138. All criminal activities, emergencies, and requests for police services are to be reported to the Police Department. These reports/requests may be reported to any police employee by telephone or by stopping by the Police Department in person. The emergency 24-hour telephone numbers for the AUM Police are 334-244-3424 (voice and TDD) and 334-271-2400. The emergency number, 911, may be called from a pay phone without money being deposited. All 911 calls are received by Montgomery Police Department (MPD). MPD then forwards the emergency information to our Police Department.
The AUM Police Department is staffed 24 hours a day. All criminal offenses, incidents, and accidents occurring on campus are investigated by the AUM police personnel. The Police Department also enforces all university policies and state traffic laws. When police service is requested, the on-duty dispatcher will direct a police unit to the scene of the incident.
