Declared Major Advising
Auburn Montgomery requires all students to seek the guidance of an academic advisor before registering for courses. Students are responsible to meet with their assigned academic advisor prior to course registration for guidance in selecting courses that comply with their specific program/major requirements. Once the advisor gives signed approval for courses, students can obtain personal identification numbers (PINs) that allows registration on AUM's online registration system.
Students who are fully admitted to Auburn Montgomery and have declared a major are advised in the School or department the major falls:
School of Business Advising
School of Education Advising
School of Liberal Arts Advising
School of Nursing Advising
School of Sciences Advising
Pre-professional Program Advising
Pre-professional curricula (e.g., pre-medicine, pre-pharmacy, pre-law) are not majors. Students completing one of these curricula will be required to declare a separate major (Biology, Chemistry, Political Science, etc.). Such students will need advising in their pre-professional curriculum and in their major.
