Graduate Student Admission


As a metropolitan campus of Auburn University, our mission is to provide quality and diverse educational opportunities at the undergraduate and graduate levels through use of traditional and electronic delivery systems, and to foster and support an environment conducive to teaching, research, scholarship, and collaboration with government agencies, our community, and other educational institutions.

We offer master’s programs in 51 fields as well as a doctoral degree in Public Administration and Public Policy in conjunction with Auburn University.

Auburn University at Montgomery, with approval from the Auburn University Board of Trustees, will reduce its out-of-state tuition to 2.25 times in-state tuition from the current rate of 3 times in-state tuition effective Fall 2014.

School of Business

  • Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.): GMAT
  • Executive Master of Business Administration: GMAT
  • Master of Information Systems Management: GMAT or GRE

School of Education

  • Education Specialist (Ed.S): Master's Degree, Class A teaching certificate and general section of GRE or MAT.
  • Exercise Science: Master's Degree: Contact Department
  • Master of Education in Sport Management (certification): Contact Department
  • Master of Education in Sport Management (non-certification): Contact Department
  • Physical Education Teacher Education: Master's Degree: Contact Department
  • Traditional Master of Education (M.Ed.): General Section of GRE or MAT and in most cases a Class B teaching certificate.
  • Alternative Master of Education (M.Ed.): Bachelor's degree and general section of GRE or MAT.

School of Liberal Arts

  • Master of Liberal Arts (M.L.A.): General Section of GRE or MAT.
  • Master of Sociology (M.A.S. or M.S.S.): Bachelor's degree and GRE. Cooperative program with Auburn University. Must apply through Auburn University.

School of Nursing

  • Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.): Apply through Auburn University School of Nursing.

School of Science

  • Master of Cybersystems and Information Security (C.S.I.S.): General section of GRE or MAT.
  • Master of International Relations (M.I.R.): General section of GRE or MAT.
  • Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.): General section of GRE or MAT.
  • Master of Political Science (M.P.S.): General section of GRE or MAT.
  • Master of Science in Psychology (M.S.P.G.): General section of GRE or MAT.
  • Master of Science in Justice & Public Safety (M.S.J.P.) Homeland Security Option:General Section of GRE or MAT.
