Calling all urban cowboys and city slickers! The 13th annual Blue Jean Ball, hosted by the Auburn University and Auburn University at Montgomery Schools of Nursing, will take place in Montgomery for the first time on Oct. 4, 5-11 p.m., on the AUM campus.
Guests will enjoy live music, dancing, meet-and-greets with mascots Aubie and Curtiss, photo opportunities with birds of prey from the AU College of Veterinary Medicine’s Southeastern Raptor Center, a live auction emceed by legendary Auburn football coach Pat Dye, a silent auction, tours of AUM’s School of Nursing and new Wellness Center, and dinner catered by Dreamland Barbeque.
One-of-a-kind auction items up for grabs at the ball include:
- Dinner for up to 12 people with Coach Pat Dye on his ranch in Notasulga
- Four nights at the ultra-exclusive Alys Beach House in Florida
- University of Alabama football tickets with a football signed by Coach Dye
- Georgia vs. Auburn football tickets with a football signed by Coach Dye
- Stephen Malcoff drawing of Toomer’s Corner oak trees
Since 2001, the Blue Jean Ball has entertained hundreds of faculty, staff, students, friends and supporters of AU and AUM’s nursing programs. Net proceeds support programs and initiatives benefitting the schools’ students and faculty. To date, more than 450 nursing students from AU and AUM have received scholarships from funds raised at the ball.
