AUM’s English as a Second Language program, part of the Division of Continuing Education, hosted 20 Korean students from Namseoul University in January and February to study ESL and American culture.

While here, Dr. Yong-il Lee, Professor in the Department of Tourism Management at Namseoul, and Dr. Yoon Hyeon, Dean of International Programs and Relations, visited with Chancellor John G. Veres III to sign a protocol for academic collaboration between Namseoul University and Auburn Montgomery.

While at AUM, the Korean contingent visited the College of Business, where Dr. Venessa Funchess introduced them to and talked about the college's Department of Marketing and the Tourism and Hospitality program. They were also visited with local Korean businesses and participated in a series of extracurricular activities on campus.

English as a Second Language looks forward to hosting more students from Namseoul University over the summer.
