Learning Center/Instructional Support Lab
The goal of the Learning Center is to provide all AUM students with academic support in an inviting and dynamic environment. We believe that all learners need support that extends beyond the classroom to reinforce and amplify. All writers can benefit from the interaction with our writing consultants at each step on the way to paper completion, and all math students can benefit from reviewing and clarifying concepts.
The carefully selected and trained staff work with all students from diverse backgrounds in mathematics and writing in all disciplines as well as accounting. Our trained writing consultants work with all Writing Intensive courses and provide writing and conversational instruction for English learners. In addition, they are available for mini-workshops in the classroom or in your organization on topics such as avoiding plagiarism or studying for exams. Our Instructional Support Lab unit in 203 Goodwyn Hall tutors math and science in all disciplines from Introduction to Biology to Organic Chemistry.
Those enrolled in online courses are eligible for online tutoring, and tutoring for those who live on campus is available in The Commons.
