On Oct. 23 and 24, the School of Liberal Arts held its third annual A Taste of College, an open house for high school students. A Taste of College gives visiting students a sense of what a college class is like by putting them in a college classroom, as well as offering some helpful career advice to students interested in liberal arts programs. This year, more than 75 students from Alabama Christian Academy, Booker T. Washington Magnet, Brewbaker Technology Magnet, Carver High School, Prattville High School and St. James High School participated by sitting in on classes currently offered by the School of Liberal Arts. The students also received campus and housing tours and ate lunch with School of Liberal Arts faculty and students.
